Choosing an Outdoor Heater

A fire pit warms the circle around it. A patio heater warms the whole table. Bromic electric and gas heaters mount to a wall, a ceiling, or a pole and throw radiant heat exactly where people sit, so the patio works in April and October, not just July.

Electric models suit covered patios and pergolas; gas models suit open air. Controls put the warmth on a switch or a dimmer, and we help you match the model and the mount to the space.

Heaters are the easy add-on to a fire pit or an outdoor kitchen, and a simple upgrade for a patio you already have. Every model comes with the manufacturer's clearances, which matter more than people expect under a pergola, so placement is part of picking the right one.

  • Bromic electric and gas patio heaters
  • Models for covered patios, pergolas, and open-air spaces
  • Wall, ceiling, and pole mounting options
  • Controls: switches, dimmers, and timers, so the heat is there when you sit down

Tell Us About the Patio

Covered or open, how many people sit where, and whether power or gas is nearby. A photo with the form is plenty.

3

Check the Clearances

Every heater has manufacturer clearances. We check the model you pick against your patio, pergola, or roofline.

“Mark (father) and Matt (son) were wonderful to work with! I’m so happy we stumbled upon this small family and locally COS owned business. We love our new Regency i2500 Firewood Insert and non-combustible mantle will be using it as our primary heat source.”

“Matt was amazing! Found our issue quickly, repaired it and educated us along the way! It was such a fantastic experience. Past fire place guy said we needed a whole new fire place, Matt found it was just a bad switch! Grateful!”

“Matthew was extremely thorough, checking out the AC unit and the Armstrong furnace. The blower was very dirty, and Matthew spent a lot of time cleaning out the blower. I would highly recommend MH Services to anyone. Courteous, professional, and extremely thorough.”

“Father and son, Mark and Matthew, were amazing. We are 100% satisfied with our Wiseway pellet stove install from MH Services CO, LLC. We are looking forward to using our central, electric heater a lot less this winter ; )”

Common Questions About Outdoor Heaters

Electric or gas for a patio heater?

Electric for covered patios and pergolas, where a clean, quiet radiant heater can mount close and needs no venting. Gas for open-air spaces that need more output. Either one should be sized to the seating area, not the whole yard.

Can an outdoor heater go under a pergola or a roof?

Yes, with the right model and the clearances the manufacturer specifies. Those clearances are the first thing to check when you pick the model.

Do heaters make sense with a fire pit on the same patio?

They're the usual pair: the fire pit for the gathering, heaters over the dining table. It's worth planning both at once.
