MH Services runs hands-on technical training for hearth and HVAC technicians: single and multi-day courses, in person and online, with CEU courses for the credentials that ask for them.
The bench is the classroom. Gas valves, controls, and wiring, worked through the way a technician meets them on a real call, taught by the instructor who built certification exams and study manuals for the National Fireplace Institute.

Instructor
Mark Humphrey
Mark Humphrey is the Director of Technical Training and Development for Hearth and HVAC products at MH Services, with more than 30 years of firsthand experience across hearth, chimney, gas, and HVAC systems.
He started as a chimney sweep, worked extensively with wood and pellet appliances, moved into gas as the market evolved, and added HVAC early in his career. Along the way he owned and operated wholesale, retail, and installation businesses, so he knows the operational, technical, and workforce challenges technicians and business owners face.
At the National Fireplace Institute (NFI) he led training and certification development, writing certification exams, study manuals, and continuing education programs. Seeing the need for hands-on technician training, he acquired an established training platform from an award-winning instructor. Working with MH Services, an HVAC and hearth sales, service, and installation company, lets him align that training with real-world applications, current technologies, and evolving industry challenges.
