Chimney Repair & Restoration in Colorado Springs, CO

Colorado is hard on chimneys. Freeze-thaw cycles crack crowns, hail and wind take caps, and decades of weather work on mortar joints one winter at a time. Most of it is fixable, and far cheaper to fix early than after water has been running down the flue for a few seasons.

What Our Chimney Repair Work Covers

Colorado is hard on chimneys. Freeze-thaw cycles crack crowns, hail and wind take caps, and decades of weather work on mortar joints one winter at a time. Most of it is fixable, and far cheaper to fix early than after water has been running down the flue for a few seasons.

We handle chimney repair and restoration from the cap down: caps and crowns, flue liners, smoke chamber issues, and the repairs an inspection turns up. We scope honestly. When a job crosses into major structural masonry, we'll tell you straight and help you plan it rather than sell you a patch.

  • Chimney caps and crowns, repaired or replaced before water wins
  • Stainless flue liner installation for wood inserts and aging flues
  • Smoke chamber and firebox repairs
  • Weather sealing and minor masonry repair
  • An honest assessment when a job needs a full structural rebuild

“Matt was amazing! Found our issue quickly, repaired it and educated us along the way! It was such a fantastic experience. Past fire place guy said we needed a whole new fire place, Matt found it was just a bad switch! Grateful!”

“Matthew was extremely thorough, checking out the AC unit and the Armstrong furnace. The blower was very dirty, and Matthew spent a lot of time cleaning out the blower. I would highly recommend MH Services to anyone. Courteous, professional, and extremely thorough.”
Don Nowicki · Google Review
“When my fireplace quit working shortly before the holidays, bigger companies told me I'd have to wait two months for service. Despite his full schedule, Matthew fit me in the following business day. He not only fixed the issue, he provided extras, like a fresh coat of paint and glass cleaning -- at no extra charge.”
Melanie MacWilliams · Google Review
“I’ve noticed that over the last few years I rarely used my indoor fireplace, likely because of the white film on the glass. I called MH services company one afternoon, and Matthew came out the following morning, took apart the unit, inspected it, cleaned and touched it up. He also took the time to show me how to perform routine maintenance. Strongly recommend, especially if you’ve owned your home for a while.”

Common Questions About Chimney Repair & Restoration

How do I know if my chimney needs repair?

Outside: a cracked crown, a missing cap, white staining, or spalling brick faces. Inside: water stains near the fireplace, draft problems, or debris in the firebox. Any of those is worth an inspection before the next burn season.

Do you rebuild entire chimneys?

We repair and restore from the cap down: liners, crowns, smoke chambers, and the like. A full structural rebuild is a masonry specialty. When a job crosses that line we'll say so plainly and help you plan it.
